Can this be used as a "leaner" mirror instead of mounting it?
I want to lean it up against a wall on a tiled floor. What should I use to ensure that is doesn't slip and fall??
It is a very large mirror and I had it leaning on its side for several days before mounting it unto the wall. If left alone, the mirror will not fall as it is heavy enough to lean securely on a wall. However, if you have small children or pets (medium to large dogs-cats will not tip it over), then I would not recommend it. It can lead to some serious harm if the mirror were to fall on them. It is quite heavy and it takes two people to lift it.
That being said, you can hook a two small chains onto the hooks on the back of the mirror and in turn have these chains drilled into the wall. That will keep it from falling over if pushed.
