I purchased this beautiful clock about 2 weeks ages and cannot say enough about it! I saw it online but was nervous to purchase without seeing it in person. I loved it from first glance after seeing it in the store! It compliments my decor and is larger than I expected! Stunning details and so different than anything I've seen in years! Runs well and am thrilled with my purchase!

Is the base of the clock flat? I am looking for a clock that I could prop on a mantle and not necessarily hang.

Yes, it has a flat base but it's not very wide. I think it would prop up well on a fireplace mantel. Stunning clock!
